Lake Committee

Tower Lakes is a uniquely beautiful community characterized by its number one resource - the Lakes, enjoyed by all residents. The Lakes are vital recreational areas and wildlife habitats. The Committee’s mission is to protect and preserve our lakes for all members into the foreseeable future.

TLIA Lake Committee Goals:

  • Maintain and conserve all TLIA Lakes and waterways as Recreational Properties for use by residents in Swimming, Fishing, and Small Craft Boating (Canoes, Paddleboats, Sailboats, Kayaks, etc.)
  • Ensure Public Health and Safety
  • Foster respect and appreciation for Nature and Native Wildlife
  • Green Space preservation for balanced plant and wildlife populations, including continued Rain Garden and Habitat Corridor development

Vital Concerns:

  • Maintain acceptable water quality/clarity - to include aquatic plants needed for ecological health.
  • Minimize nuisance aquatic plants - to improve/sustain oxygenation needed by fish and game; and, to allow unabated swimming, paddling, and sailing.
  • Control Water depth to facilitate stated objectives.

The TLIA Lake Committee proposes comprehensive long-term plans that engage multiple tactics to achieve stated objectives - using as few chemicals as possible.

The TLIA Lake Committee also works cooperatively with nonprofit environmental organizations, including:
