Park Safety

TLIA Members:

In accordance with “Restore Illinois, Phase 4” all TLIA parks (including playground equipment), lakes, and boat landings are open.  Gatherings of up to 50 people are permitted while exercising social distancing. The beach is open with social distancing requirements and a maximum of two 50-person groups as long as groups exercise social distance (6’ separation) with 30 feet of space between groups.

Practice Social Distancing

Social distancing is a set of actions you can take to avoid close contact with others to prevent the spread of illnesses like COVID‐19.

  • Stay home as much as possible.
  • Stay 6’ from any other person not in your family.
  • Wear a face-covering in public, when maintaining social distancing is difficult (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies).
  • Call to check on family, neighbors, and older adults instead of visiting.
  • Check with your healthcare provider about telehealth options.

THANK YOU FOR KEEPING TOWER LAKES SAFE

Coronavirus Statement

June 29, 2020

TLIA Members, we are now in Stage 4 of the “Restore Illinois” program announced by Governor Pritzker in late May. This pandemic has changed much about our regular/daily activities.  However, it cannot and will not change our spirit and love of Tower Lakes, this place we call home. As we continue with the busiest part of our very active summer, let us do all we can to be respectful and caring for those most vulnerable to the Coronavirus – seniors over the age of 65 and those with various medical conditions/complications.

Lake County Enters Phase 4 of Restore Illinois Plan

Illinois entered phase four of the Restore Illinois reopening plan on Friday, June 26 bringing back several businesses and increasing capacity for others. The state was previously in phase three of its plan since May 29.

Phase four of the "Restore Illinois" plan allows for the reopening or expansion of several industries, including indoor dining at restaurants, health and fitness, movies and theaters, museums and zoos and more. This next phase also increases the size of gatherings that are allowed from 10 people to a maximum of 50 people.

Outdoor recreation allows sizes of up to 50, and permitting multiple groups given facilities have space to appropriately social distance and can limit interaction between groups. (Beach and Rest Island).

Based on the guidance above, please see the steps that the TLIA Board supports and ASKS you to take to protect our neighbors:

  • TLIA board meetings and any committee meetings will be conducted virtually until advised otherwise.
  • All TLIA parks, lakes, and tennis courts are opened but limited to groups of no more than 50 people unless multiple groups of 50 can be socially distanced and limited interaction.
  • Use of Playground equipment is permitted.
  • Fishing is allowed ONLY on TLIA property/parks, but not on any bridges or on Play Island (the Beach).  DO NOT fish on the shoreline of any homeowner property. Please respect our neighbors during this time.
  • Events sponsored by any TLIA committee will have social-distancing measures.
  • Any individual who is uncomfortable with outdoor activities and gatherings is encouraged to stay home to protect themselves from Coronavirus.

Tower Lakers, we are the community that knows how to band together. We will work together – Socially Distanced – to help our friends and neighbors. When we continue to modify activities with everyone’s health in mind.

Love your neighbor - Think about your neighbor - Protect your Neighbor.

Yours in Tower Lakes,
TLIA Board of Directors - #TLallinthistogether
